Winter Fun

Henry and his friends look forward to springtime but while it is still winter, they are enjoying all that winter has to offer.  When it snows they build a snowman and enjoy tossing snowballs.  When there is no snow but it’s a bit too cold to play outside on the grass, there are plenty of indoor activities that the children enjoy.

During this month, February, Henry and his classmates celebrated Valentine’s Day by exchanging cards of friendship with each other and making red heart decorations out of construction paper and lace.  Henry made a beautiful paper heart and gave it to his parents as a gift on Valentine’s Day.  He told his parents that he loves them, which made them feel very special. His mom made a heart-shaped cake which was chocolate with pink frosting.

Since February is cold where Henry lives, he and his friends stayed inside and played board games like “Don’t Break the Ice”, “Mouse Trap”, and “Hungry Hungry Hippos”. They played “Simon Says” and indoor hide and seek, and they enjoyed hot cocoa while they shared ideas about games they will play outside once the weather is warmer.

  1. I have never seen snow in my country. Perhaps I would make an Olaf just like Frozen movie. I don’t know what it is actually called.
